GrammarGlasses is made by Monocular Labs. Using it means agreeing to what is below.

Your account

You need an account to practice, and it is free to make one. Keep your sign-in details to yourself, and tell us if you think somebody else has them. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian should set the account up or agree to your having one.

What is free and what is paid

The parts of speech through pronouns are free, and they stay free. Everything after that needs a subscription, which a parent can buy directly or an organization can provide as part of a roster seat.

Paying

Subscriptions bill monthly through Stripe until canceled. Cancel at any time and access continues to the end of the period already paid for. We do not bill for a period you did not use, and we do not charge to cancel.

If an organization stops paying for a seat, the learner loses the paid units. They do not lose their account or anything they have already done.

Organizations

An organization can invite learners, assign instructors, and read the progress of the learners on its roster. It cannot change that progress, and it cannot see anything about a learner outside its own roster. Inviting somebody is a statement that you have the right to, and that a parent has agreed where the learner is a child.

What the content is, and is not

The lessons, the exercises and the checkpoint questions belong to Monocular Labs. You may use them to learn and to teach the learners on your roster. You may not copy them out, resell them, or use them to build a competing product.

GrammarGlasses teaches grammar. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the College Board, ACT, or any testing organization, and nothing here is a promise about a score.

Using it properly

Do not try to break the service, reach another learner’s data, or extract the item bank. We can suspend an account that does, and we will say why.

Ending it

You can stop at any time and ask us to delete your account. We can end an account that breaks these terms or goes unpaid, with notice and an opportunity to put it right where that is reasonable.

The usual disclaimers

The service is provided as it is. We work to keep it available and correct, and we cannot promise it will never be down or never be wrong. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you have paid us in the previous twelve months.

Changes

We will give notice by email before a change that affects what you pay or what you get.
